The short version: Your grocery data stays on your device. We don't sell your data, we don't show you ads, and we don't share your information with third parties to make money.
Who we are
GoneUP is a grocery planning and personal price tracking app made by GoneUP LLC, based in Lebanon, Tennessee. You can reach us at hello@goneupapp.com.
What we collect and why
Information you give us directly:
- Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash via Supabase Authentication). You may optionally provide your name.
- Grocery and trip history. Items you add to your list, prices you log, stores you shop at, and meals you plan. Currently, all of this is stored locally on your device using your browser's storage. It does not leave your device.
- App preferences. Your theme choice, store preferences, and notification settings. These are also stored locally on your device.
Information we do not collect:
- Your location
- Your contacts
- Photos or camera data
- Any financial account information
- Any data used to build an advertising profile
- Analytics or usage tracking (we currently have no analytics SDK)
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Authenticate your account and maintain your session
- Send you transactional emails you request (password reset, account confirmation)
Your grocery data (lists, trips, prices, meals) is stored only on your device. GoneUP LLC does not have access to it.
We do not use your data to show you ads, build marketing profiles, or sell to data brokers. Ever.
How we store your data
All grocery lists, price history, meal plans, and trip logs are stored locally on your device using browser storage. GoneUP LLC does not have access to this data. If you clear your browser data or delete the app, your local data is deleted with it.
Your account credentials (email and hashed password) are stored securely via Supabase Authentication. If you opt in to cloud sync, your grocery data is also stored securely in Supabase with encryption in transit and at rest, and row-level security policies ensure only you can access your data.
Third-party services
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
We currently use one third-party service:
- Supabase. Account authentication and optional cloud sync. Supabase receives your email and hashed password when you create an account or sign in. If you are signed in, your grocery data syncs to Supabase for backup and multi-device access. Row-level security policies ensure only you can access your data. Supabase Privacy Policy
Your choices and rights
- Access. You can view all data stored by the app directly within the app.
- Delete. Clearing your browser data removes all locally stored grocery data. To delete your account and any server-side authentication data, email us at hello@goneupapp.com and we will process your request within 30 days.
- Export. We plan to add a data export feature in a future update.
Children's privacy
GoneUP is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@goneupapp.com and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
